about Pawsitive Touch

Pawsitive Touch is a mobile hospice and euthanasia veterinary service that provides care to address both the medical and psychological needs of our pets with chronic or life altering diseases. We understand how difficult and confusing this time can be for our caregivers and we will educate and support you through this process. Our mission is to provide our companions with a comfortable, and peaceful life while they are dealing with a terminal illness, followed by a dignified passing.

Dr. Krieger is a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her undergraduate degree at University of Rhode Island in Animal Sciences. After graduation, she lived in Annnapolis, Maryland for a short period of time and now resides in Boston, Massachusetts with her 3 beloved feline family members Buddha, Ninja, and Neeko. She has been practicing small animal medicine since 1995. She is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and has completed course work for certification from the Chi Institute in Chinese Food Therapy. When she is not working Dr. Krieger loves doing yoga, traveling with World Vets which provides free spay/neuter programs around the world, gardening and water color painting. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care and World Vets.

Services

End of life care and Euthanasia

We are so fortunate to have our pets share our lives and provide us with unconditional love. Therefore, I feel it is an honor to facilitate a peaceful end of life experience for our animal companion if we are unable to offer him/her a happy and pain free existence in the comfort of your home.

Hospice care

Any life-limiting or incurable disease that involves a family’s increased need for caregiving may warrant hospice care.
These include:

Cancer
Arthritis
Organ failure
Dementia
Senior animals approaching end of life

Geriatric consultations
pain management
acupuncture

Our pets are living longer happier lives so they will experience new challenges as they age. We will do a thorough examination on your pet, assess nutrition, pain medications, and add other alternative modalities including acupuncture.

There is truly no one else I’d trust with the care of my best friend. Dr. Krieger’s kindness, compassion, and knowledge—her love and respect for the four-legged members of our family—make her stand out as the best in her field.

Dr. Mimi has come to our home on so many occasions to give our 14-year-old black lab acupuncture, which has helped amazingly! She is caring, compassionate, flexible in working around people’s busy schedules, and most of all so invested in animals she cares for. We love Dr. Mimi! And we know that when you use her services for your pet, whether elder care, palliative care, or maintenance, you will love her too.
